Happy July and welcome to another Tech Tuesday!
Today I want to discuss “Flat Web Design”. According to iconion.com, flat web design is “a minimalistic design approach that puts emphasis on usability.”
Ok my definition is that it involves clean, crisp graphics and icons that aren’t overwhelmingly busy, flashing, or blindingly bright.
Think simple shapes instead of realistic, animated people or animals.
Using flat web design could be the type of make-over you want for your site. Using simple shapes to convey a clear message or function makes your site user-friendly and easy on the eyes.
I came across a deal where for $29, you receive 650 icons for use on your site. There are several different categories such as food or travel. And they come in a variety of formats so they’ll be usable regardless of your operating system or blog platform.
Check it out! I’d love to know what you think of Flat Web Design. Do you use it on your site? Where do you get your graphics and icons from?
