Do you keep track of your prayers? If so, how? Do you have a special journal? Just a notebook? Make a note on your phone?
For some, the idea of writing down your prayers may sound strange. I don’t mean that you sit down and write out word for word your exact sentences and phrases. What I mean is keeping track of the issue that you are praying about so you can look back over time and be reminded of God’s mercy, kindness and faithfulness.
Well whether you’ve been doing this for a long time, or are interested in starting, I wanted to share a set of journals with you that I came across. They are both beautiful and practical. You can check out the website at ValMariePaper.com.
I want to tell you about the one I have though. It is the undated women’s journal. It has sections to prompt you through praying for the world, your community, your family, your friends and yourself. There are spaces to record scripture and spaces to record answers to prayer and more! What I like best about it is that it is so nicely made that I feel as if I’m holding an “anchor”.
Not that it is actually heavy, but that it is sufficiently “heavy” in a spiritual sense. In it, you are inviting God to write on the tablet of your heart even as you cast all your cares to Him. We are called to be prayer warriors and this is an awesome tool to help us in that.
Have you ever used a prayer journal? Tell me how yours is set up? Or check out Val’s!
