Sometimes being a blogger can be isolating. A lot of people still don’t know what a blog even is, and people often look at you funny when you mention that you run a blog, an eMinistry! However, if you’re reading this, then like us, you too believe social media can be used for the glory of God.
And because you believe this, we want to energize you to dig deep into God’s Word, and we want to encourage you to grow your vision … and find your voice!
Recently, I was hanging out in Psalm 50 when I came across this verse:
At the end of October, Nikki and I met around a little round table with pumpkin spice lattes in hand. God convicted our hearts that the people who read our blogs aren’t just obscure people. We don’t know everyone, but God does, and He’s divinely interceded in their lives to bring them to our sites. You’re here because God wants you here.
You’re probably here because you have a blog, and you want to know how to make it better, or make it bigger, or how to construct better sentences, or take better pictures. Whatever your reason for being here, we want you to know, we are humbled, and we do not take lightly our call to steward our blog well. Christian Mommy Blogger does not belong to Nikki and Leigh Ann. Christian Mommy Blogger belongs to God. Your blog belongs to God. What are you doing with it? <–Tweet This
We will have to answer for every post we write, every comment we leave, every picture we post. We will have to answer to God for how we shepherd our flock.
So it is our prayer that God would fill us with a holy desire to please Him in all we do. It is our prayer that we would take our eyes off ourselves and place them instead on the One who deserves all our praise. We pray that each of us would use our platforms to declare the praises of the Lord, to tell of His good works, to tell of His faithfulness, to give all the glory to Him. May we become smaller as He becomes bigger in the eyes of our readers. <–Tweet This
We can pray with holy confidence for a voice, a platform, because we can pray that God would open our mouths to tell the good news of the Gospel. The Gospel is not left to your “in-real-life” friends or for Sunday morning church. The Gospel is for your blog, and it applies regardless of your content. <–Tweet This
And so we exhort you to write out of your brokenness and need for a Savior. We challenge you to cease building the kingdom of self, and instead build the Kingdom of God, the only lasting Kingdom. Because it is a broken and contrite heart that God will not despise. It is in the broken that He brings freedom. It is in the broken that something can be made beautiful. And quite frankly your readers have heard what the world has to say. Take your corner, your lot, as an opportunity to tell them what God wants to say. And it will only be through prayer, and laying yourself prostrate before our Heavenly Father that you will hear what it is He wants you to write, to speak, to share, to live.
So will you kneel with us? Will you lay your crown, your platform, at the feet of Jesus and say with us, not my will, but Yours?

Now let’s linkup!
Is this your first time linking up with us? Check out some special requests, the nitty gritty, and our button. You can also catch up with past editions.
We aren’t ones for a lot of rules around here. That just gives more room for frustration when people break them We do have one request: no food posts. That is right. No recipes or anything focusing on food. We have decided there are more than enough link-ups with a focus on food. Let’s save this space for anything and everything else.
Use this linkup as a chance to promote your blog and allow more people to read your story. While we totally get it, and we couldn’t agree more (we love linking up too!), we do ask that you don’t just drop and go! Take a moment, look around, be still, and fellowship! We have found so many great blogs (and the women behind them) when we have taken a moment to fellowship with others.
So join us every week for a Fellowship Fridays link-up right here at Christian Mommy Blogger!
Without further ado, link up below! Please be kind and link back to our site, Christian Mommy Blogger, or simply grab one of our buttons from the sidebar and share at the bottom of your post (use the code and it will automatically embed a link so people can find us).
