Continuing with our 31 Days to a More Reader Friendly blog series, we want to talk about your archives. Do your readers have access to your blog archives?
2 Ways to Make Your Blog Archives More Accessible
Use your side bar
An easy way to make your blog archives accessible is to put a drop down menu in your side bar. It’s a great place to start. WordPress has an “easy button” – just add the archives widget to your side bar and choose “display as drop down.”
Create an Archives Page
Another option is to create an archives page that you point to from your home page. Again, Problogger has a great example. You can see it here. An archives page gives a list of all your posts by date and category. This makes all the posts accessible on one page making your blog more reader friendly!
