Fellowship Fridays 7

Welcome to another week of Fellowship Fridays!

Today’s featured post comes from Days & Thoughts. Our sister in Christ, Joanne, wrote on the topic of “visits” as part of the Five Minute Friday prompt.  While this was five minutes of writing, it was a message that has resonated with me all week long.  She recalled some precious moments of fellowship and really challenged me to be purposeful in my gathering together with other believers.  Life gets so busy and if we don’t take the time on purpose, sometimes it escapes us all.

This week I finally had tea with a friend from church.  We had been saying for months now that we would get together, but I was inspired to really make it happen after reading Joanne’s post.  We only had an hour together, but that’s ok! It was refreshing, encouraging and I hope to do it again.  Solidifying a new connection in the body of Christ was wonderful.  Thank you Joanne!  You can read about her here.  And check out her latest post here!

  1. Shared a link on my page and the badge is on my sidebar. Thank you for hosting!

  2. An hour is better than nothing! My husband and I used to be great at showing hospitality but we haven’t been having people over like we used to do. We need to do more of it! Thanks for hosting today.

  3. I can’t seem to find a place to link up. I wanted to share my latest blog post: http://www.myfruitfulhome.com/2014/01/help-for-overwhelmed-moms.html

  4. Blessings! Thanks so much for hosting this link-up! I’m relatively new to the community here but am so blessed by your resources to help us touch lives for Christ! Looking forward to the 1Cor. 13:13 challenge and e-book!! Joy!
    Kathy

    • Dear Kathy – Thank you so much! Glad to have you here and on the Feb challenge! :) Its my prayer that the e-book will be a collection of posts that are easily shared with others to spread the love of Christ. :)

  5. BTW – Am I dense or blind – I commented above before linking, then went back to find the link and – Where is it? What am I missing here? I just don’t see a linky tool in this post – only the featured post. Help!
    Thanks, Julie!
    Kathy

  6. Hi Julie – I’m back and saw that there were some hiccups – but even as I’ve refreshed the page there is still no linky to link to. Boo. What’s up?
    Joy!
    Kathy

  7. Duh – I get it, Julie. I do not have experience with this type of linky. I see what you’ve done here – but I’m not sure how it works. Do I have to comment to have you link to me? I’m used to the links where I place my URL, and put my own title in – and thumbnail photo. Sorry to be so dense.
    Joy!
    Kathy

    • Hi Kathy – Hmm – this is my 2nd week using this Link Up Tool. And it might be my last! The list comes out with tiny print that I can’t edit and it’s disappeared twice on me throughout the day on Friday. So you don’t have to comment to link, you should be able to scroll down past the “Save the Date” for the twitter chat and see the list. This link up doesn’t have a spot for photos. Just the link title, your email address (which won’t be displayed) and your link. Blessings on you! :) Julie

  8. Just linked up- 1st time, hoping I did it right ?!!
    Check it out ….

Thanks for hosting and all your help :)
    Many Blessings your way
    From Amanda @ http://livinginhismercyandgrace.blogspot.com

    • Hi Amanda! :) Happy 1st time! So this is how it works:
-Scroll down and see the list of links. At the bottom of the list, there is a spot to put your link
-You enter the name of the post you’re linking to, your email address and the link
      -Then hit submit!

I actually added yours for you just in case you don’t get back to the blog right away. But, feel free to try it with another one of your posts. For example, I love your post about homemade baby wipes! Super useful. I’m sure other people who have babies with sensitive skin would want to try it too! :)

  9. Julie –
I am so sorry that I am late to join the linkup. Of all weekends! The last week has been filled with much unanticipated events. I came here this morning & was truly blessed to see the manner in which you featured me. There are no words to say thank you. You have been so gracious & kind. I so pray that this linkup grows for you! Thank you again!
    Blessings,
    Joanne
